What To Expect
Flystyle has develop this course after a decade of teaching and is the only flight school in the U.S. currently offering it. We found that students who primarily focus on glider control at a flying site that allows for quick progression students learn much faster and also have more fun.
The ASF course is 2 days long and takes place in Pacific City, Oregon (2-hour drive from Portland, Oregon). The course is design to give you maximum amount of hands on practice in the safest learning environment while always being under instructor supervision. The maximum number of students per session is 5, and the minimum is 2.
You will be issued your own rental gear for each day, learn how to setup your harness and how to correctly attach the wing to the harness. You will then work on ground handling skills, learning how to control the wing before your feet ever leave the ground. After that, you will learn correct launching techniques and take your first solo flights.
Every student is unique and this course is designed to help both the fast learner and everyone in between. After completing the course, you will be issued your P1 Rating, the first step in becoming a paraglide or paramotor pilot.
